SoKno Sculpt is a local nonprofit community organization that empowers Knoxville sculptors by connecting them with commissioned opportunities in the Old Sevier neighborhood on the south side of the Tennessee River. Residents can apply for grants to install sculptures on their property by selecting a juried artist or can connect directly with an artist to commission a custom piece.
I serve as a volunteer for SoKno Sculpt, supporting its mission through digital strategy and content development. The organization needed a website to manage grant requests and showcase its talented local artists. With a clear vision from the directors, I built a WordPress site that meets those needs while providing a user-friendly experience for both artists and residents.
My volunteer role also includes managing SoKno Sculpt’s social media presence. As the organization continues to grow — currently representing 12 artists — maintaining a consistent voice and visual style across platforms is both a challenge and a priority. This ongoing effort supports the organization’s goals while promoting the artists and their work to a broader audience.
